For Grand Hyatt Chengdu we were looking to convey the sense of being in a french mansion while still in China. We created a cohesive identity as well as interior and exterior signage for the french mansion in Chengdu. While the exterior signage had to follow existing guidelines we were able to rethink how the directional signage indoors could function. We made use of open booklets placed upon pedestals for help facillitate directions.
